Celebrate. remember. Fight Back.
This year, Association of International Students is given the honor to organize TU Relay for Life 2017. Relay for Life is a fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a designated track to remember cancer patients that fight cancer tirelessly. While relaying, each registered team will also be given a booth to raise money for American Cancer Society to fund groundbreaking cancer research, critical patient care services, education, prevention initiatives, and so much more.
The Indonesian Student Association brought the elements of a multicultural carnival to life at 2016 Relay for Life TU.
CARNIVAL FOR A CURE.
The theme “World Carnival” will illuminate Friday night of March 24 with exciting games, music and food. We will honor cancer survivors during opening ceremony. Don’t miss this moment to cheer and support our strong survivors that never give up in battling cancer. If you know anybody who is affected by cancer and able to join this event, please contact email@example.com.
DEDICATE A LUMINARIA.
The highlight of the event is the luminaria ceremony where we will remember those who have lost and support those who have affected by cancer. Together, we take a moment of silence while the name of each person in each luminaria bag will be read to show that they are not alone in this fight. If you would like to honor or dedicate your loved ones, you can buy for $5 each bag at the site and it is counted as your fundraising.
STEP 1: Register
You can participate as a team or individual by registering at American Cancer Society website. The $10 fee of each person will be counted towards your fundraising.
STEP 2: BOOK
We will provide a booth for each registered team. Fill up the form here and tell us what do you need from us. We can’t wait to see your booth being decorated like a carnival!
STEP 3: FUNDRAISE
Be creative! Don’t forget to insert the element of fun in your fundraising. Every $100 raised by a registered individual will be given a free special Relay t-shirt. So start fundraising now.

AIS SUSTAINABILITY POLICY.
A cancer-free world walks hand in hand with a cleaner and healthier environment. With this in mind, we invite all team members to join us in our recycling efforts and to not use styrofoam products for this event. The University of Tulsa utilizes the single stream recycling system which makes recycling easy since there are only two containers needed —trash and recyclables. Confused on what's recyclable and what's trash ? Click the link below.
